Dmu Rock and metal society- Building a society on rock and roll

Who ever said that Rock is dead? Other then Kid Rock and Gene Simmons.

Certainly not the 2014 DMU freshers as the Rock and Metal society experienced a spike in new membership this year. "We're still a little shaky in terms of year-by-year numbers," Says society chairman Andy Leddington but overall we've had over 50 signups, which is huge. Its easily over double what we had last year." with over 50 new members signing up and many more yet to rock up to the party a little later, one has to wonder weather this is a miraculous stroke of luck on the parts of the society heads. Regardless of this, the burst in membership has been very visible on the society's socials, with some bars visited having difficulty seating the newly expanded group, with people from various areas, various courses, and various walks of life all crammed in brought together by the society and the music they enjoy .

So to whom ever first said that rock is dead, DMU is happily and optomisticly keeping it going, and with an increase in funding and many gigs and other events in the pipe line, having a hell of a time doing so.
